In the Summer 2026 issue of Wildflower magazine, I shared how Together we Breathe began and a few of the small things that help me find calm and balance in a busy life.
In a time of overwhelm, constant noise, limited time and overstimulation, I feel most drawn to helping people slow down and reconnect with themselves. Moments of pause can help us feel calmer, more focused and more present, offering a sense of perspective and moments of peace and gratitude.
Finding balance is a continual effort. Here are six simple ways I bring a little more calm into my day.
How to Find the Balance, Wildflower magazine, Summer 2026
Gentle Practice, Not a Strict Routine
Try not to follow a strict daily routine, as that can feel overwhelming. Instead, bring in practices that feel supportive in the moment. This could include yoga, breathwork, stretching, journalling, eating well, cooking, walking the dog and spending time with friends.
Sauna and Cold Plunge
I love saunas and cold plunges and would highly recommend trying them if you have not already. There are so many in and around London, and along the coast too, so you can experience the sea, which is invigorating and fun whatever the temperature.
If you’d like to try it with guided breathwork, self massage, mindfulness and gentle stretching join me for my monthly Reset Ritual, my sauna and cold plunge sessions in Camberwell.
Step Outside and Breathe
Starting the morning outside, even for a few minutes, can make a real difference. Stand barefoot if you can, connect with the ground, and notice your breath, the air, the scents and sounds around you. Take a moment to really experience it and breathe.
Phones Down
Leaving your phone behind when going for a walk or spending time with friends and family, or simply turning it off so you can be present without distractions, can help you feel more connected and grounded.
Write It Down
Journalling, or simply noting a few things from your day that made you smile, is a beautiful way to unwind.
A Calming Evening Routine for Better Sleep
Creating a calming evening routine that includes self massage, along with your favourite rituals, is a lovely way to support a restorative and restful night’s sleep.
Creating Space to Pause
Through breathwork, mindfulness, movement, journalling and sensory experiences, I create spaces where people can notice what is happening for them, physically and emotionally, and begin to make positive change. Many leave feeling more connected, with simple, manageable practices they can bring into their daily lives.
Join me at one of my upcoming wellbeing events, or on my yoga and wellbeing retreat in Tobago from 30th April to 7th May 2027.
Let’s Breathe, Move and Connect
Together we Breathe creates welcoming spaces for people to slow down, reconnect and share meaningful experiences through breathwork, mindful movement, wellbeing events and immersive retreats.
Whether through transformational breathwork, guided wellbeing experiences, corporate wellbeing programmes or immersive retreats in Africa and Tobago, each offering is designed to support calm, clarity and connection.
With love
